Introducing Kerry Plante, Digital Marketing Manager

A quick summary:

At Heka, we’re passionate about helping organisations and employees thrive through health-led benefits that genuinely make a difference. We believe healthier employees are more engaged, productive, and empowered both inside and outside of work. That’s why we’re committed to creating a flexible wellbeing platform that puts people first, giving employees access to the support they actually need, when they need it most.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible people behind Heka. Our team is made up of passionate individuals who bring energy, creativity, and purpose to everything they do, helping us shape the future of employee wellbeing every single day. In this spotlight, we’re featuring Kerry, our Digital Marketing Manager. From crafting impactful campaigns to finding creative ways to connect with HR leaders, Kerry plays a huge role in helping more businesses discover the power of personalised wellbeing.

What’s your role at Heka?

I’m the Digital Marketing Manager at Heka. My focus is split across our paid activity on LinkedIn and Google, alongside owning our email marketing strategy. Recently, I’ve been heavily focused on ABM strategies for specific sectors, as well as lead scoring and pipeline work, which has been a brilliant way to really get under the skin of our target audience.

What excites you most about your role?

Figuring out what genuinely resonates with our audience is probably my favourite part of the job. There’s something really rewarding about understanding what matters most to people and building campaigns and content around that. It’s also a really nice feeling coming into work every day knowing that what I’m doing has a tangible impact on people’s lives. Heka improves employee happiness in a real way, and that’s something I care a lot about.

What’s the biggest challenge?

I’m so invested in Heka’s mission, so I constantly have ideas bouncing around my head about new, creative ways to reach our audience. The biggest challenge is simply that there are only so many hours in the day! There’s always another campaign idea, another audience to explore, or another way we can tell the Heka story.

Where do you see the future of employee wellbeing?

Honestly, I see Heka’s approach becoming the standard. No two employees are the same, have the same needs, or define wellbeing in the same way. The employers offering truly personalised wellbeing and benefits packages aren’t following a trend: they’ve already recognised that flexibility and choice are becoming non-negotiable. One-size-fits-all, static benefits should already feel like a thing of the past.

What is your favourite Heka benefit?

It’s genuinely difficult to choose just one, but recently I used my Heka allowance towards a red light mask, and I’ve been loving it. Spending 10–20 minutes a day with that, alongside a meditation course I’m doing on The Mindfulness App, has genuinely improved my quality of life - and my skin!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m originally from America but now live in Belfast, so I spend a lot of my free time exploring Ireland, the UK, and Europe whenever I get the chance. I also consider myself permanently on the hunt for the perfect pizza place, which has become a bit of a personal mission at this point.

Do you have any interesting facts about yourself?

I’ve set myself a goal of becoming conversational in French in the next two years, and as part of that I’m doing a few lessons on Duolingo every day. I hated having to learn French when I was in school, so past me would be horrified that I’m currently enjoying it!
