Introducing Annie Tripp, Partner Account Manager

A quick summary:

At Heka, we’re all about empowering organisations and employees to thrive through health-led benefits that make a real difference. We know that healthier teams are more productive, and that’s why we’re dedicated to offering tools and support that prioritise health and wellbeing. Our vision is to create a world where every employee feels empowered to take care of their health and has the resources they need to succeed not just at work, but in life too. None of this would be possible without the amazing people who make it all happen. We believe in building a positive, inclusive culture where innovation and teamwork are key, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can grow and succeed. Our team members are much more than just employees; they’re at the heart of Heka.

We’re excited to introduce you to the incredible people who make Heka what it is. Each team member brings something special to the table, helping us make a real impact. In this blog, we’re spotlighting Annie Tripp, our Partner Account Manager, who plays a key role in managing our wellbeing partners on Heka.

What’s your role at Heka?

I’m the Partner Account Manager at Heka, responsible for supporting and managing relationships with all of our amazing wellbeing partners.

What excites you most about your role?

What I love most is getting to chat with such a wide range of partners. They come from all sorts of sectors and have so much knowledge around health and wellbeing. There’s always something new to learn - whether it’s a different perspective, new product, or an exciting initiative. It definitely keeps things interesting!

What’s the biggest challenge?

One of the biggest challenges for me has been learning to set boundaries. I naturally enjoy being helpful and supporting others, but that can sometimes mean I take on too much. I’ve been working on getting more comfortable with saying no when I need to, and asking for support when it’s needed too. It’s all about finding that balance so I can show up as my best self - both at work and outside of it.

Where do you see the future of employee wellbeing?

I see the future of employee wellbeing rooted in preventative care. Right now, a lot of us only think about our health when something goes wrong - but if we focused more on maintaining a healthy baseline, we might avoid some of those acute issues altogether, or at least reduce their impact. I once read a great analogy in a book: ‘imagine walking along a cliff edge. Emergency medicine is like the ambulances waiting at the bottom to catch people who fall. Preventative care, on the other hand, is the guardrails at the top - stopping people from falling in the first place. We don’t need more ambulances, we need better guardrails.’

What is your favourite Heka benefit?

There are so many! I love the body data tests from brands like Yorktest that really help you gain an understanding of your health. I’m also always looking for my next physical challenge so Runna is a great one that keeps my training on track. I also had a great experience with the team at wabya who offer amazing personal coaching sessions.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to be outdoors - nature is my happy place! Whether it’s a run, a hike, a cycle or a walk & a coffee, I love to be out and about in the fresh air - rain or shine.

Do you have any interesting facts about yourself?

As well as working at Heka, I’m also a qualified Yoga teacher. I did my 200hr training in Bali in 2019 and it was the best month ever! While you won't find me teaching right now, it’s a practice that is present in all aspects of my life and I thank it for keeping me (relatively!) balanced and level.
